Your Guide to Voting Against Abortion & for LIFE

September 30, 2016

This November,  your votes for pro-life candidates can make all the difference both in Indiana and across the U.S., because the candidates that you vote for either uphold and protect Life or undermine and destroy Life.

When you vote for Pro-Life candidates, you protect babies, you protect women, and your Pro-Life vote protects you from being forced to participate in abortions in your work.

This election could mean real fundamental changes in our laws and culture – Life Changing!

Pro-Life Candidates Pledge to:

  • Pro-Life Candidates will appoint judges to the Supreme Court who will uphold the sanctity of human life.  An aging U.S. Supreme Court who will uphold the sanctity of human life.  An aging U.S. Supreme Court makes overturning Roe v. Wade within our grasp.  This would send the issue of abortion back to the individual states.
  • Pro-Life Candidates will make sure that the Hyde Amendment remains the law of the land.  The Hyde Amendment, which restricts taxpayer funding of abortion through the Medicaid program, has been in the news a lot because the abortion industry wants it gone.  Over a million Americans owe their lives to it.
  • Pro-Life Candidates will defund Planned Parenthood forever!  America’s largest provider and promoter of abortions will stop receiving hundreds of MILLIONS of taxpayer funds.
  • Pro-Life Candidates will sign into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

Pro-Abortion Candidates Pledge to:

  • Pro-Abortion Candidates want to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which saved 1 Million Lives of Babies since 1976.  Without the Hyde Amendment, one in nine children born through Medicaid would have died from abortion.
  • Pro-Abortion candidates want YOU to pay for Abortions with Your Tax $$$$.
  • Pro-Abortion candidates want YOU to be forced to change your religious views to accommodate abortions.

We hope and pray Indiana voters will vote to save the lives of babies.

Talk to your friends and family and urge them to vote for Pro-Life candidates!

Every year, another million lives are claimed by abortion, making it the leading cause of death in America if we counted it.  An aging U.S. Supreme Court makes overturning Roe v. Wade within our grasp.  The opposite could happen; reinforcing Roe v. Wade for decades at the cost of tens of millions more lives if pro-abortion candidates are elected.

The choice is in our hands.  Let’s elect Pro-Life Candidates who will work for us, not kill us.

Should Indiana Judges be Retained?

Killing Babies at Our Expense

May 6, 2013

Nearly half of Planned Parenthood’s revenue comes from taxpayers.

Did you know your money is going toward the largest abortion provider in the nation? Planned Parenthood, which makes more than a billion dollars each year, received almost half of its financial support from taxpayers in 2012 – $542 million to be exact, an 11 percent increase from 2011. That number includes Medicaid money1.

Several states, including Indiana, have tried to stop the flow of Medicaid dollars to the abortion giant. In Washington, D.C., the House voted to block federal funding for Planned Parenthood, but the bill did not progress. Lawmakers do not mind sending our dollars to Planned Parenthood, even though we did not ask for it.

Planned Parenthood has shown again and again that its focus is not women’s health; it is abortion. Many people may not realize their hard-earned money is going toward the slaughter of innocent babies in the womb. Unborn children are more than just dollar signs; they are gifts meant to be loved and cherished. Help us spread the word about where the money is really flowing and bring it to an end.

1 “Planned Parenthood Receives Record Amount of Taxpayer Support”

Planned Parenthood is the Name,
Abortion is the Game

April 29, 2013

Planned Parenthood paints itself as a happy, pro-woman organization that wants people to know all their options when it comes to their sexual lives. But when women face an unplanned pregnancy, Planned Parenthood only wants them to choose its option – abortion.

Abortion kills more than 1 billion babies each year; more than 300,000 of those babies died in Planned Parenthood clinics across the U.S. That number includes surgical abortions, not abortions caused by emergency contraception or other abortifacient drugs. Meanwhile the number of adoption referrals has steadily declined. In 2010, Planned Parenthood made just 841 adoption referrals compared to 329,445 abortions.1

The killing is going on in our own backyard. While not all Planned Parenthood clinics perform abortions, they do make abortion referrals. Out of the 28 Planned Parenthood clinics in Indiana, four perform abortions: Indianapolis, Bloomington, Merrillville and Lafayette. Although abortions are not provided at the Evansville clinic, it does refer women to other clinics. More than 5,000 children in Indiana have died at the hands of Planned Parenthood.

Why is Planned Parenthood so obsessed with abortion? The answer is simple: it brings in money. Abortions performed during the first trimester cost between $300 and $950. Second-trimester abortions are even more expensive, and Planned Parenthood will refer women to late-term clinics if need be. The organization tells women that abortion is a safe and legal procedure, and women are falling for it hook, line and sinker. Susan B. Anthony List, which helps pro-life lawmakers, said Planned Parenthood performed 145 abortions for every adoption referral. It also reported that 92 percent of pregnant women who went to Planned Parenthood obtained abortions.

The numbers show that Planned Parenthood is not an organization that values women; it is an organization that values murdering unborn children for profit.

Sanger’s Mission Continues in Planned Parenthood

April 15, 2013

Margaret Sanger had a clear mission when she founded the American Birth Control League in 1921: eliminate and separate anyone deemed unfit to live. In Sanger’s eyes, that included people with mental disabilities or black people who were poor and supposedly unintelligent.  She was a profound eugenist and racist, and Planned Parenthood is continuing that regime.

Besides founding Planned Parenthood, Sanger also created “The Negro Project,” aimed toward segregating and sterilizing poor or supposedly unintelligent black people by encouraging them to use birth control. In her article “Birth Control and Racial Betterment” in Birth Control Review, Sanger wrote, “We who advocate Birth Control, on the other hand, lay all our emphasis upon stopping not only the reproduction of the unfit but upon stopping all reproduction when there is not economic means of providing proper care…”

This is scary news for a black population that is already struggling to survive. African-American women are six times more likely to abort their children than Caucasian women. Abortion kills more African-American babies than all other causes combined. Planned Parenthood continues the genocide in the name of “choice.” To this day, Planned Parenthood performs more abortions on African-American women than any other race. Abortion clinics are being built within minority communities to continue Sanger’s mission.

Some hail Sanger as the champion for reproduction rights; many do not know her true agenda. Because of Sanger, more than 16 million African-American babies have been killed by abortion.

Planned Parenthood and Susan G. Komen Controversy

March 11, 2013

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, is hailed as a champion for women’s health. Its supporters say women would suffer without it and not receive low-cost healthcare anywhere else. Many national companies and organizations have also expressed their support for Planned Parenthood; one of Planned Parenthood’s supporters was Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure, of which 18 of its affiliates (not including the Evansville Tri-State Komen Affiliate) gave the abortion giant money to perform breast cancer screenings.

But on Jan. 31, 2012, that changed – Komen decided to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. This fueled a media frenzy, with many people lashing out at Komen for its decision. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood played the innocent victim.

The situation began in December 2011, when Komen announced it would no longer fund organizations that were under criminal or congressional investigation. Komen also wanted its funding to be more results-oriented. One critical part of a breast cancer screening is a mammogram, which Planned Parenthood, contrary to popular belief, does not provide. (It only does manual self-exams, which a woman can do by herself at home.) Shortly after the announcement, Komen bowed to pressure and resumed funding Planned Parenthood. The situation sent a clear message to the American public: if you mess with Planned Parenthood, you will pay the price.

Planned Parenthood does not need Komen’s or any other group’s money. Komen only gave about $700,000 annually to Planned Parenthood, but the abortion provider received more than $480 million in government funding in 2010. Another $230 million came from donations. While government funding tripled between 1994 and 2010, the number of abortions at Planned Parenthood clinics nearly tripled as well. A bill to cut funding to the abortion giant in 2010 failed to pass the U.S. Senate. The Obama Administration has threatened to cut funding to states that have defunded Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood has shown again and again that it can and will bully people into giving it money. The Komen controversy is a prime example.

Right to Life of Southwest Indiana does not support those who directly or indirectly fund the nation’s largest abortion provider or abortion itself. We hope the cure for breast cancer and other cancers will be found and support ethical means of doing so. Following are some breast cancer research organizations we do support:
